The Lions are one team with great potential every year as both Roy Williams and Calvin Johnson have the potential of becoming the most potent one two attack in the NFL. Talent oozes from each of these young receivers however it never seems to come together fully for the Lions on the field as well as some inconsistent fantasy stats. Some blame journeyman quarterback Jon Kitna and they are definitely partially right as Kitna threw more picks than touchdowns last season to barely average a QB rating of 80. Unfortunately there is no quick solution is sight as the Lions seem likely to go defense with their #15 pick, if not definitely running back as they have lost their top 2 off their depth chart who weren’t that good in the first place. The Lions are also without their former Offensive coordinator crazy-man Mike Martz, and are also minus running back Kevin Jones due t them releasing him last week due to injury. I’d love to say the Lions will have a high powered attack this season but I am much less optimistic than I have been in previous years as they seem somewhat decimated in personnel this off season.
