The high flying Saints offense is returning intact this season. Reggie Bush and Deuce McAllister on the ground, a nice one two combo. Drew Brees also has Marques Colston, David Patten, and Devery Henderson returning so the passing game should continue to perform at the level they performed at last season. I also expect to see some flashes of excellence from their top draft pick of last year Robert Meachem who was very quiet last season.
The only major weakness of the Saints is their defense. They have signed Randall Gay and Aaren Glenn at corner to help prevent the big pass play that plagued them last season. The Saints also have upgraded their linebacker core by signing Dan Morgan and trading for Jonathon Vilma. The Saints also have a fairly high draft pick at #10 where they will most likely add another playmaker to their defense meaning this could be a very good year if the Saints defense performs.
