The Bucs had a tough loss to close out last season. Veteran QB Jeff Garcia led this team into the playoffs but both sides of the ball let them down in the playoffs both offense and defense. The Bucs really lack a true playmaker on the offense. Cadillac Williams was that man a few years ago but whether its the weak offensive line or Cadillac’s nagging injuries, he;s definitely not the player he was in his rookie season. Joey Galloway is the teams only deep threat and he is getting a year older every season that passes. Earnest Graham also showed some nice versatile flashes of skill however is not very high on my fantasy draft chart.
As this team is very capable of getting into the playoffs again this upcoming season it sounds like the Bucs are very interested in upgrading at wide receiver in the draft. I also like a player like DT Kentwan Balmer out of North Carolina who should be available to the Bucs early. Balmer is no Warren Sapp, but he’s very talented and the Tampa Two Defense is predicated on pressure. Balmer will add much pressue and push up the middle .
