Just for the record, when I said Ryan Grant would have a huge game I meant he’d be in the Packer record book by the end of the night. No, even I was surprised at that one, I thought maybe 100-125 yards a touchdown or two. Then after those 2 fumbles I expected less. I think that was a great game as well as a great story how McCarthy put the young back right back in and how quickly Grant forgot about those devastating fumbles and ran through the Seahawks defense. That game was classic football and classic Brett Favre (especially the spinning fling to Lee for a 1st down in the red zone).

The Colts defense really surprised me today. Yes Ladanian Tomlinson is a star, but Billy Volek and Darren Sproles were the ones who burned the Colts late that game and that defense might need some retooling now. Yes Freeney was out but I find it hard to believe missing just one player can make a good defense that bad. Even Bob Sanders was very human today and the Colts got what they deserved as Norv Turner tried to give the Colts as many chances as he could w/ two minutes left calling 3 run plays up the middle so they could punt ASAP back to Peyton Manning with plenty of time left.

I was also real disappointed from the Cowboys. If you told me Marion Barber would have 120+ yards I’d say the Cowboys would have dominated this game. Although its tough to blame Romo, as his pass protection was non-existent but Romo did not have a good game in my opinion. 17 points is terrible for that offense and all those weapons.  I think he needs to really focus more as he’s starting to get a stigma as a player who does not perform well in the playoffs.  Wouldn’t hurt to give Jessica Simpson a break next year either once the season starts.

The Patriots played a little less inspired than I expected but especially with two very good teams falling today I think the odds of then winning it all just made a large leap.
